Karachi: Allied Bank Limited has declared a 40% interim cash dividend for the year ending December 31, 2026, as per a notice issued in compliance with Regulation No. 5.6.9(b) of the PSX Rule Book. The announcement was made following the board of directors’ meeting on August 19, 2026.

The bank, which falls under the designated market category of financial services, confirmed the dividend of Rs. 4.00 per share. To facilitate the distribution of dividends, the bank’s Share Transfer Books will be closed from August 31, 2026, to September 2, 2026. Share transfer requests received by the close of business on August 28, 2026, will be considered timely for entitlement determination.

In adherence to Pakistan’s regulatory requirements, shareholders are urged to update their registered details, including contact information and banking details, with the bank’s Share Registrar. The bank has withheld dividends from shareholders who have not provided their CNICs or valid bank account details, including IBANs. Shareholders are advised to submit the required information by August 28, 2026, to avoid withholding issues.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Allied Bank Limited’s recent dividend declaration aligns with its ongoing efforts to maintain compliance with financial regulations. The bank also encourages shareholders to convert physical shares into book-entry form to ensure secure share management and ease of transaction.

Withholding tax rates for the dividends will be determined based on the latest Active Taxpayers List available on the FBR website, with a 15% tax for listed taxpayers and 30% for unlisted ones. Shareholders with valid tax exemption certificates must submit them by August 28, 2026, to claim exemptions under the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.

The bank further reminds shareholders to claim any unclaimed dividends or shares to avoid forfeiture, with detailed information accessible on its website. Additionally, shareholders can utilize the Centralized Cash Dividend Register, developed by the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited, to track their dividend histories.

The notices are set to be published in the Daily Business Recorder and Nawa-i-Waqt on August 24, 2026, ensuring wide dissemination of the information to stakeholders across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.
