Altern Energy Limited Sets Date for 31st Annual General Meeting


Lahore: Altern Energy Limited has announced that its 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) will convene on October 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. The meeting is scheduled to be held at the registered office of the company, located at Descon Headquarters on Ferozepur Road.



The designated agenda for the AGM includes the confirmation of minutes from the last Extraordinary General Meeting, held on April 17, 2025. Shareholders will also be asked to receive, consider, and adopt the Annual Audited Financial Statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, along with accompanying reports from the directors and auditors. Additionally, the appointment of external auditors for the upcoming year will be addressed, with the current auditors, M/s Grant Thornton Anjum Rahman, offering themselves for re-appointment for the financial year ending June 30, 2026.



According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company has made substantial strides in compliance and transparency efforts. This includes obtaining shareholder approval in a previous meeting, dated October 26, 2023, to distribute the Annual Report via QR codes and web links, in accordance with the directives of the Securities & Exchange Commission.



Furthermore, the company has opened avenues for virtual participation, allowing shareholders to attend the AGM proceedings via video conferencing. Interested participants are required to register by emailing shareholder particulars to the designated company email address at least 48 hours before the meeting.



In compliance with the Companies Act, 2017, Altern Energy Limited has notified shareholders about the conversion of physical shares into book-entry form, urging those holding shares in physical format to initiate the conversion process.



The share transfer books of the company will remain closed from October 21 to October 27, 2025. Transfers received by the close of business on October 20, 2025, will be eligible for the final cash dividend entitlement.



Altern Energy Limited continues to advocate for the updating of shareholder particulars, emphasizing the importance of submitting valid CNIC copies to avoid dividend withholding under the Companies Act, 2017.
