Arif Habib Limited CEO Acquires Additional Shares in Company

Karachi: In a significant transaction on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Arif Habib Limited has disclosed the acquisition of company shares by its Chief Executive Officer and Director, Mr. Muhammad Shahid Ali. The transactions were carried out earlier this month, with the details provided in compliance with clause 5.6.4 of PSX Regulations.

On May 9, 2025, Mr. Ali purchased 28,000 shares at a rate of 59.72 rupees per share. This transaction increased his cumulative shareholding in the company to 2,426,044 shares, representing a 3.71 percent stake. A subsequent transaction occurred on May 12, 2025, where Mr. Ali acquired an additional 42,641 shares at a price of 64.01 rupees each, further increasing his cumulative holdings to 2,468,685 shares, now equating to a 3.78 percent share in the company.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these transactions will be presented at the forthcoming board meeting of Arif Habib Limited. The meeting will also address any potential non-compliance issues, pursuant to the requirements of clause No. 5.6.4 (d) of PSX Regulations.

Arif Habib Limited has confirmed that the holding period for these transactions exceeds six months. Should the holding period be less than six months, the company will adhere to regulatory obligations under Section 105 of the Securities Act, 2015, by depositing a cheque equivalent to any profit with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), with appropriate intimation to the PSX.
