Karachi: Askari Bank Limited (AKBL) has announced that certain share certificates have been reported lost or misplaced, pertaining to a deceased shareholder. The information was disclosed this week in an official notice issued by the bank to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, alerting members of the exchange to refrain from dealing in the specified share certificates.
The deceased shareholder, identified as Rana Salim Khan, held a total of 144 shares that are now considered lost. The details regarding the certificates are as follows: Certificate number 98203, covering distinctive numbers from 19859051 to 19859150, accounts for 100 shares. Additionally, certificate number 98204, with distinctive numbers from 19859151 to 19859194, covers 44 shares.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), members are advised to circulate this information and ensure no transactions occur involving these specific share certificates. In accordance with standard procedures, if no objections are raised within seven days of the notice, Askari Bank Limited will proceed to issue duplicate share certificates to the concerned parties.
