Askari General Insurance Announces SECP Approval for Newly Elected Directors

Karachi: Askari General Insurance Company Limited announced on July 22, 2026, that the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved the appointments of nine directors elected during the company's 31st Annual General Meeting. The directors, whose appointments have been regularized with effect from April 28, 2026, include Maj Gen Syed Anis Akbar (Retd.), Maj Gen Abid Latif (Retd.), Maj Gen Muhammad Ahmed Malik (Retd.), Malik Riffat Mehmood, Mr. Imran Iqbal, Brig Salman Nazar (Retd.), Syed Haider Abbas, Mr. Badr-ul-Arifeen, and Ms. Nusrat Munshi.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the regulatory approval marks a significant step in the governance of the company, ensuring compliance with the Companies Act, 2017.
