Askari Life Assurance Announces Board Meeting and Closed Period

Karachi: Askari Life Assurance Company Limited has scheduled its Board of Directors meeting for October 24, 2024, to review and approve the financial statements for the third quarter ended September 30, 2024.

The meeting, set to take place at the company’s Rawalpindi office , will coincide with a closed trading period beginning October 17 and ending October 24, as stipulated by the Pakistan Stock Exchange regulations. This closed period restricts all directors, executives, and CEO from buying or selling company shares during this time.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this routine closure aligns with corporate governance norms, ensuring transparency and fairness in the handling of insider information, particularly before the public release of financial results.

Muhammad Nadeem Rajput, the company secretary, indicated in a communication to the Pakistan Stock Exchange that the specific agenda for the upcoming meeting includes the adoption of quarterly financial statements which will subsequently be disclosed to shareholders and the investing public. Additionally, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan has been notified as per compliance requirements.
