Karachi, Askari Life Assurance Co. Limited has issued a corrigendum related to its previously published notice regarding the 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM), initially announced on April 3, 2024. This correction informs TRE Certificate holders and the public that recent amendments have been made to the corporate governance structure for the upcoming board elections. According to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan's (SECP) SRO dated July 07, 2023, in Regulation 7A of the Listed Companies (Code of Corporate Governance) Regulations, 2019, the categories and number of directors to be elected have been updated. The new structure specifies that one Female Independent Director, one Independent Director, and five Other Directors are to be elected.
