Attock Cement Pakistan Limited Proposes Name Change to Falcon Cement Limited

Islamabad: Attock Cement Pakistan Limited has issued an addendum to its previous notice of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM), adding a special business agenda to consider a name change to Falcon Cement Limited. The EOGM is scheduled for October 20, 2026, at the Jacaranda Family Club in Islamabad, with the option to join via a video conference facility.

According to the addendum, the proposed change includes modifications to the company's Memorandum and Articles of Association, aligning them with the new name. This change is subject to the approval and registration of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and any other relevant authorities. The decision will be made through special resolutions during the meeting.

Furthermore, the company's Articles of Association will reflect the new address clause, stating that the office will be located as decided by the directors in the Province of Punjab. The Chief Executive Officer and/or Company Secretary have been authorized to handle all necessary applications and communications with the SECP and other competent authorities to implement the changes.

The notice clarifies that aside from the addition of the special business agenda, all other terms and conditions as detailed in the initial EOGM notice dated September 29, 2026, remain unchanged. The meeting will proceed as planned, with members being informed of the special business addition through this addendum.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the cement industry falls under the designated market category. The proposed changes could potentially impact the company's market presence and branding. However, the decision will ultimately rest with the shareholders during the upcoming EOGM.
