Attock Petroleum Limited and HUBCO Green Partner to Develop EV Charging Infrastructure Across Pakistan

Karachi: Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) has entered into a collaboration agreement with HUBCO Green (Private) Limited (HGL) to develop electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at selected APL locations across Pakistan. The agreement, which marks a significant step in the enhancement of the country's EV infrastructure, was signed on April 24, 2025.

HGL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hub Power Holding Limited, will work alongside APL to identify key locations for the deployment of EV charging stations. This partnership aims to cater to the growing demand for sustainable and convenient charging solutions in Pakistan, as the country gradually shifts towards greener energy alternatives.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the collaboration between APL and HGL is expected to leverage the strengths of both entities, combining APL's extensive network and experience in the petroleum sector with HGL's focus on renewable energy solutions. This strategic alliance is anticipated to facilitate a smoother transition for EV users in the region by providing more accessible charging options.

The move comes in response to the increasing adoption of electric vehicles in Pakistan, necessitating the expansion of a reliable and efficient charging infrastructure. The designated market category for this development falls under energy and infrastructure, highlighting the focus on sustainable growth within the sector.

The agreement, in line with Sections 96 and 131 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Rule 5.6.1. of the Rule Book of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited, signifies a collaborative effort to advance the country's energy landscape. Stakeholders and TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange have been informed about this development, underscoring the commitment to transparency and regulatory compliance in this new venture.
