Attock Refinery Limited Executes Upgrade Agreement to Enhance Refinery Infrastructure

Islamabad: Attock Refinery Limited (ARL) has announced the successful execution of an Upgrade Agreement with Inter State Gas Systems (Private) Limited. This agreement, mandated by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), is a key component of the Pakistan Oil Refining Policy for Upgradation of Existing/Brownfield Refineries, as amended in February 2024 and August 2026. According to the report issued on September 24, 2026, the company has committed to sustainable development and infrastructure enhancement.

The newly signed agreement aims to modernize ARL's existing refinery infrastructure, improve operational efficiency, and elevate product quality to meet Euro-V fuel standards. These advancements are expected to contribute significantly to Pakistan's energy security and sustainability goals.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the agreement with Inter State Gas Systems represents a substantial step forward in the company's ongoing efforts to align with national energy policies and enhance its operational capabilities.
