Karachi: Bank Al Habib Limited has reported the loss of several share certificates owned by Mr. Munir Hassan, involving a total of 568 shares. The bank has issued a warning to all members of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) not to transact these shares, as they are now considered invalid.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the certificates are identified across different series with certificate numbers from 229614 to 251905 and distinctive numbers ranging from 45510561 to 65549120. These certificates include varying amounts of shares, with the largest single certificate covering 202 shares.
Bank Al Habib has instituted a seven-day period for any objections or claims regarding these lost certificates. If no objections are received within this timeframe, the bank will proceed with the issuance of duplicate certificates to ensure that the shareholder's holdings are secured.
This notice serves as a critical reminder of the importance of safeguarding physical share certificates and promptly reporting any losses to the relevant authorities to prevent unauthorized use and potential market complications.
