Bank AL Habib Limited Declares 2nd Interim Cash Dividend for 2025

Karachi: The Board of Directors of Bank AL Habib Limited announced the declaration of a 2nd Interim Cash Dividend at a rate of Rs.3.50 per share for the year ending December 31, 2025. This announcement follows a board meeting held on August 27, 2025, reflecting the bank’s commitment to rewarding its shareholders.

To determine the entitlement for this dividend, the bank’s share transfer books will remain closed from September 05, 2025, to September 09, 2025, inclusive of both dates. Share transfers received in order at the office of the bank’s Share Registrar, CDC Share Registrar Services Limited in Karachi, by the close of business on September 04, 2025, will be considered in time for the dividend payment.

According to regulations, it is mandatory for listed companies to pay cash dividends through electronic means directly into the shareholders’ designated bank accounts. The bank has urged its members who have not yet provided their bank account details to submit the duly filled “E-Dividend Bank Mandate Form” available on the Bank AL Habib website by September 04, 2025. Failure to do so may result in withholding the dividend payment due to incorrect or missing account information or lack of valid CNICs.

The bank has also highlighted the importance of shareholders ensuring their names appear on the Federal Board of Revenue’s Active Taxpayer List to benefit from a reduced withholding tax rate of 15% on the cash dividend, as opposed to the higher rate of 30% applicable to non-listed taxpayers. This measure aligns with the provisions of Section 150 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the dividend declaration is part of the bank’s regular financial practices for the year. The bank has also provided guidelines for joint account holders to submit their shareholding proportions to ensure accurate tax deductions.

The dividend payment is scheduled for September 16, 2025, and the bank has advised its members to ensure compliance with the outlined procedures to facilitate a smooth process. The financial strategy reflects the bank’s ongoing efforts to maintain transparency and efficiency in its operations.
