Bank Alfalah Limited Releases First Quarter Financial Statements on Official Website

Karachi: Bank Alfalah Limited has announced the placement of its financial statements for the first quarter ending March 31, 2025, on its official website, according to a newspaper clipping published in the "Business Recorder" on April 25, 2025. The announcement was made across its Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad editions. Shareholders seeking a printed copy of the financial statements can request one from the bank's registered office in Karachi, with the bank committing to provide the copy free of charge within a week of receiving the request.

The bank is urging shareholders who have not yet submitted a valid copy of their Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) to do so immediately. This requirement is crucial for those shareholders whose cash dividend payments have been withheld due to the absence of their CNIC numbers and complete bank account details, including the 24-digit International Bank Account Number (IBAN). According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), shareholders are advised to provide these details to their respective participants, brokers, or the Central Depository Company (CDC) Investor Account Services, depending on whether the shares are held in electronic or physical form.

Bank Alfalah also highlighted the issue of undelivered or unclaimed share certificates and dividend warrants, which remain with the bank's Share Registrar, M/s. F. D. Registrar Services (Pvt.) Limited. The bank has made a list of such shareholders available on its website, urging them to contact the Share Registrar to arrange for the delivery of their certificates and warrants, pending the completion of necessary formalities.

Furthermore, the bank reiterated the need for shareholders holding physical share certificates to convert them into book-entry form in compliance with Section 72(2) of the Companies Act, 2017. This transition aims to streamline the management of shares and is supported by guidelines from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). Shareholders are encouraged to open an account with the Central Depository Company or any Securities Broker of the Pakistan Stock Exchange to facilitate this conversion process.
