Karachi: BankIslami has notified the closure of transfer books for its Ehad Sukuk II (BIPLSC2) to facilitate the upcoming monthly profit payment, scheduled for August 31, 2024.
This closure will take effect from August 30 to August 31, 2024, inclusively, as part of the process to determine the entitlements for profit payments to the Sukuk holders. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the cut-off for accepting transfer requests at CDC Share Registrar Services Limited in Karachi will be on August 29, 2024. This ensures that all transfers processed up to this date are recognized for the profit distribution.
The notice regarding this book closure was published in "The Nation" in English and "Daily Nawai-Wacit" in Urdu, both on August 20, 2024. This step is in line with regulatory practices to keep TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange informed and to maintain transparency with the Sukuk holders about key financial operations.
BankIslami’s Ehad Sukuk II is a critical financial instrument for the bank, providing structured cash flow and financial stability through regular profit payments to its investors.
