Karachi: BankIslami Pakistan Limited has credited an interim dividend for the first half of 2024 to shareholders who have complied with the necessary regulatory requirements. The dividend, announced at Rs. 1.50 per share, which equates to a 15% return, was processed on September 23, 2024.
The distribution follows approval by the Bank's Board of Directors on August 26, 2024. The dividend has been electronically transferred directly into the bank accounts of shareholders registered with their complete and valid banking details, including a valid International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), BankIslami emphasized its adherence to the Companies Act, 2017 and the Companies (Distribution of Dividends) Regulations, 2017. In cases where shareholders have not provided the required information, the interim cash dividend has been withheld.
The bank has issued a notice urging these shareholders to contact the Bank's Share Registrar or the Central Depository Company of Pakistan to provide their CNIC and valid banking details to receive their dividends. This notice has been published in "The News" and "The Daily Jang" on September 23, 2024.
Furthermore, shareholders can access the Centralized Cash Dividend Register (CCDR) developed by the CDC to retrieve their dividend details for record purposes.
