Karachi: Bata Pakistan Limited has been granted an extension by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) to convene its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the year ended December 31, 2025. The extension, which was communicated via a letter from the SECP on April 1, 2026, allows the company an additional 30 days, setting the new deadline for the AGM at May 30, 2026.

The extension was requested by Bata Pakistan Limited through an application dated March 25, 2026. The request referenced sections 132 and 223 of the Companies Act, 2017, which govern the scheduling of AGMs and the presentation of annual audited financial statements. The SECP’s decision to grant the extension was conveyed under letter No. SMD/PRDD/Comp/(162)/2026/8.

The company is expected to communicate this extension to the TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange.

This extension is issued with the approval of the competent authority and does not preclude any potential action the SECP may take for non-compliance with other requirements of the Companies Act, 2017.
