Lahore: In a strategic move aimed at boosting sustainability and operational efficiency, Beco Steel Limited has announced the execution of an agreement with a renewable energy solutions provider for the installation of a 2-megawatt solar power generation system at its plant in Badami Bagh, Lahore. The announcement, made on September 9, 2025, outlines a capital expenditure of approximately PKR 121 million for this initiative.
The investment in renewable energy is projected to generate annual savings of approximately PKR 129.65 million on the company’s energy costs. The solar power installation is expected to significantly reduce the cost of production while enhancing operational efficiency, aligning with Beco Steel Limited’s long-term strategy to promote sustainable operations and maximize shareholder value.
This development was disclosed in compliance with Section 96 and 131 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Regulations 5.6.1 of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Regulations.
