Burj Clean Energy Modaraba Sukuk Certificates Set for Delisting

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange has announced the impending delisting of the Sukuk Certificates issued by Burj Clean Energy Modaraba (BCEMSTSC), effective Wednesday, March 4, 2026. This development follows the full redemption of the principal amount and the payment of all accrued profits associated with the certificates, as confirmed by an auditor’s certificate.

The delisting process is a result of fulfilling the financial obligations stipulated in the Sukuk’s terms, ensuring that all dues have been settled to the satisfaction of stakeholders. Burj Clean Energy Modaraba, which had issued these certificates to raise funds for its clean energy initiatives, has successfully met its commitments, leading to the conclusion of this financial instrument’s lifecycle on the PSX.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this decision aligns with standard regulatory practices following the redemption of financial instruments. The delisting marks a significant milestone for the Modaraba, reflecting its ability to honor its financial engagements.

The removal of these Sukuk Certificates from the market is part of the regular financial processes overseen by the exchange, ensuring transparency and accountability in the trading environment. Stakeholders and investors have been duly informed, and the necessary notices have been issued, as per the exchange’s protocols.
