Karachi: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has issued a certificate of incorporation confirming the change of name for Burj Modaraba Management Company (Private) Limited, now officially rebranded as Burj Investment Management (Private) Limited. The change, effective from October 7, 2025, was made in accordance with Section 13 of the Companies Act, 2017.
The certificate, released by the SECP’s Company Registration Office in Karachi, outlines the regulatory compliance observed during the name change process. Under the Companies Act, 2017, the company is required to display its former name alongside the new name for a duration of ninety days from the date of the certificate issuance. This stipulation ensures transparency and continuity in business operations and documentation.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the transition from Burj Modaraba Management Company to Burj Investment Management marks a significant step for the company as it repositions itself within the financial sector. The regulatory framework mandates that the company adhere to specified guidelines during this transitional period.
The company’s rebranding is aligned with its strategic objectives to enhance its market presence and broaden its scope within the designated market category. The change reflects a broader trend of rebranding and restructuring within the financial services sector, aiming to optimize business operations and stakeholder engagement.
