Calcorp Limited Reports First Quarter Loss Amid Declining Income

Karachi: Calcorp Limited disclosed its financial results for the first quarter ending September 30, 2025, revealing a net loss amid declining income streams and consistent liabilities. The announcement was made following a Board of Directors meeting held on October 29, 2025, at the company’s registered office.

The company’s financial statements for the quarter show a net loss of Rs. 1,052,316, a significant downturn from the profit of Rs. 4,049,755 recorded in the same period last year. The earnings per share dropped to Rs. (0.10) from Rs. 0.38 a year earlier. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company’s share capital and reserves decreased slightly from Rs. 298.73 million to Rs. 297.68 million.

Calcorp’s assets totaled Rs. 312.12 million, a minor decrease from Rs. 312.60 million at the end of June 2025. The current liabilities increased marginally to Rs. 14.44 million from Rs. 13.86 million. The company’s cash and bank balances stood at Rs. 312.09 million, down from Rs. 312.57 million in the previous quarter.

The company reported no income from vehicle plying for hire during the quarter, compared to Rs. 4.10 million in the same period last year. Other income, previously Rs. 5.34 million, was also absent this quarter. Administrative and operating expenses were significantly reduced to Rs. 1.05 million from Rs. 3.29 million a year ago, yet the company still faced a loss before taxation.

No dividends, bonus shares, or other entitlements were recommended by the Board, maintaining a consistent stance in its corporate actions. The financial results reflect a challenging quarter for Calcorp Limited, with the company navigating through reduced income streams and maintaining its financial commitments.
