CALCORP Reports No Dividend; Declares Financial Results for 2024

Karachi: CALCORP Limited, a Karachi-based company, released its financial results for the year ended June 30, 2024. In a document dated October 7, 2024, the company declared that no dividends, bonus shares, or rights shares would be distributed for the year.

The financial report highlighted that CALCORP achieved a net income of 13.62 million rupees for the fiscal year 2024, a decrease from the 19.94 million rupees reported in 2023. The earnings per share also declined from 1.86 in the previous year to 1.27 in 2024.

Revenue from vehicle operations was noted at 16.18 million rupees, marking an increase from 10.36 million rupees in the previous year. However, this was offset by a net loss on investments totaling 27.71 million rupees, a significant drop from the 30.05 million rupees in income reported in 2023. Additionally, the company reported other income of 42.04 million rupees, which was substantially higher than the 12.70 million rupees in the previous year.

Administrative and operating expenses were slightly higher at 14.71 million rupees compared to 14.61 million rupees in 2023. Financial charges also saw a decrease from 19.18 million rupees in 2023 to 14.71 million rupees in 2024.

CALCORP's annual general meeting is scheduled for October 28, 2024, at their headquarters in Clifton, Karachi. The share transfer books will remain closed from October 21, 2024, to October 28, 2024, to facilitate the processing of entitlements for those attending the AGM. According to the announcement, the company’s annual report will be transmitted through PUCARS at least 21 days before the AGM.
