CFO of Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Limited Reports Share Sale Activity

Lahore: In a recent disclosure, Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Limited announced that its Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, has reported the sale of a substantial amount of shares in the company. The transactions, which have been detailed as per the regulations of the Pakistan Stock Exchange, were conducted over several days in late July and early August.

According to the company's statement, Mr. Iqbal sold a total of 10,000 shares in five separate transactions. The sales took place between July 21 and August 1, 2025, with the largest transaction involving 4,700 shares on July 23. The shares were sold at varying rates, with the highest rate being 39.96 per share on July 21. These transactions are to be reviewed in the upcoming board meeting of the company.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the cumulative effect of the sales is categorized as a Very large or significant move, considering the nature and frequency of the transactions. The cumulative percentage of ordinary and Class-C shares sold by Mr. Iqbal stands as a minor part of the total shares in circulation.

The disclosure of these transactions is part of regulatory requirements under section 5.6.4 of the PSX regulations, which mandates listed companies to report significant shareholdings and transactions by executives and substantial shareholders.
