Chenab Limited Seeks Extension for Annual General Meeting

Faisalabad: Chenab Limited has filed an application to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) seeking an extension for holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. The request is detailed in a letter numbered CL/141/25, dated October 9, 2025.

The company has delayed its AGM, and the financial statements for the period in question, due to the reasons stated in their application. The extension request has been submitted under Section 132, read with Sections 223 and 237 of the Companies Act, 2017, which governs such procedural delays. Chenab Limited has assured that the exchange will be informed as soon as permission is obtained from the SECP.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company has provided several documents to support its request. These include an application for the extension, an affidavit from the Company Secretary, and a duly paid challan amounting to Rs.15,025 as the fee for the extension. A letter from the firm's external auditors, M/s RSM Avais Hyder Liaquat Nauman Chartered Accountant, Faisalabad, has also been submitted, confirming the availability of the audited accounts.

The company has emphasized the importance of obtaining this extension to meet statutory requirements for circulating the AGM notice alongside the annual audited financial statements. Chenab Limited has expressed gratitude for the cooperation and support provided in this matter.
