Karachi: Cherat Packaging Limited has reported a significant decline in its annual profit after tax for the fiscal year ending November 12, 2025. The company’s profit after tax stood at 356.43 million rupees, marking a decrease of 529.46 million rupees from the previous year’s figure of 885.89 million rupees, according to the company’s latest financial statement.
The company’s revenue for the year was 13.01 billion rupees, which is a decrease of 806.44 million rupees compared to the 13.82 billion rupees recorded in 2024. This reduction in revenue contributed to a lower gross profit, which fell to 1.02 billion rupees from 1.46 billion rupees, indicating a significant move.
Selling expenses increased by 51.56 million rupees, reaching 307.73 million rupees, while administrative expenses remained relatively stable at 185.08 million rupees. The company experienced a notable decrease in other expenses, which dropped by 107.02 million rupees to 26.01 million rupees, while other income also saw a substantial reduction to 384.27 million rupees from 994.85 million rupees, resulting in a significant move.
Operating profit fell sharply to 886.41 million rupees from 1.88 billion rupees, a decrease of 995.20 million rupees. Finance costs were reduced to 462.57 million rupees from 837.73 million rupees, offering some relief to the company’s financial position.
