Karachi: In a year marked by substantial growth and innovation, Cnergyico Pk Limited has significantly bolstered Pakistan's energy infrastructure, according to their annual report released recently. The integrated oil refining company has made considerable strides in expanding its capacity and enhancing operational efficiency, underpinning its commitment to fueling the nation’s progress.

At the heart of Cnergyico's strategic advancements is the upgradation of its oil refining complex in Hub, Balochistan, which now boasts a refining capacity of 156,000 barrels per day—the largest in the nation. This expansion is a critical component of their broader transformation plan aimed at solidifying the company's petrochemical capabilities and reducing Pakistan's dependency on imported fuels.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company has also made notable enhancements to its retail network, Byco, which has grown to over 470 outlets across Pakistan. This expansion is in line with the company's efforts to meet the increasing domestic demand for petroleum products, which has been further supported by strategic exports that have generated significant foreign exchange earnings for the country.

Cnergyico's Single Point Mooring (SPM) facility, a pioneering infrastructure project deployed in 2012, continues to play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and environmental sustainability of the country's oil supply chain. Located 15 kilometers offshore, the SPM facilitates the handling of large oil carriers, significantly easing congestion at traditional ports and minimizing environmental impact.

Despite the challenges posed by economic fluctuations and the global energy crisis, Cnergyico has maintained a robust financial performance. The company reported a gross revenue of Rs. 295 billion for the fiscal year, a substantial increase from the previous year's Rs. 224 billion. This financial success is attributed to improved refining throughput and strategic crude oil procurement, which have collectively enhanced operational efficiencies and profitability.
