Karachi: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), in collaboration with the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX) and the IBA Center for Excellence in Islamic Finance (IBA-CEIF), has announced the rescheduling of a public consultation session aimed at proposing a regulatory framework for the reinvigoration of the institution of Waqf in Pakistan. The session is set to take place on May 19, 2025, in Karachi.
According to the details provided in notices PSX/N-463 and PSX/N-486, dated May 6 and May 9, respectively, the session will be held at the PSX Auditorium on the 3rd floor from 15:00 to 17:00. The event is expected to draw representatives from various sectors, including financial sector professionals, Waqf and other charitable institutions, Shariah scholars, corporate CSR fund managers, and development sector professionals.
