Crescent Jute Products and Crescent Textile Mills Report Loss of Share Certificates

Karachi: Two companies have reported the loss of share certificates, prompting a notification to be circulated among the members of the stock exchange. The companies involved, Crescent Jute Products Limited and The Crescent Textile Mills Limited, have both reported the incidents, with the information being filed on July 17, 2025.

Crescent Jute Products Limited, headquartered in Karachi, has reported the loss of share certificates belonging to Mr. Abdul Sattar Motiwala, with an address at 220 - B, Adamjee Nagar, Off Johar Road, Karachi. The lost certificates cover multiple folios, with a total of 112 shares unaccounted for. The verification status of these certificates is noted as "Not Verified," and the company has advised that no dealings should occur for these shares. Should no objections be received within seven days from the date of notice, duplicate certificates will be issued following the completion of the necessary documentation.

Meanwhile, The Crescent Textile Mills Limited has also reported the loss of share certificates. The certificates in question belong to Mr. Abdul Sattar, son of Mr. Abdul Ghani, residing at Haji Satter Motiwala, 535-536, 5th Floor, Stock Exchange Building, I. I. Chundrigar Road, Karachi. The report indicates the loss of 6 shares, with a verification status also marked as "Not Verified." Similar to the previous case, the company has instructed that these certificates should not be dealt with, and duplicate certificates will be provided if no objections are raised within the stipulated period.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the notification has been disseminated to ensure members are informed and advised against transacting these shares until further notice. The designated market category remains consistent as the companies work to resolve the matter.

The companies have requested that any objections to the issuance of duplicate certificates be communicated promptly to prevent unauthorized dealings. The loss of these certificates has triggered a procedural response that requires compliance with the exchange's regulations.
