In response, management is focusing on optimizing the fuel mix and diversifying coal sourcing to strengthen cost efficiencies.

The report further details the company's strategic initiatives, including a significant push towards energy efficiency and sustainable growth. A 5 MW solar power project has been launched, with arrangements made for importing solar panels and inverters from China, totaling PKR 165 million in Letters of Credit. Additionally, financing arrangements have been finalized for a Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) system, with Letters of Credit amounting to PKR 1.50 billion established for its implementation. This project aims to utilize waste heat from the manufacturing process to generate power, further improving energy efficiency and reducing the company's carbon footprint.

Dandot Cement is also optimizing its cement grinding operations to enhance process reliability, reduce downtime, and improve product quality consistency. This initiative is expected to lower the Cost of Goods Sold, thereby enhancing operational profitability and reducing the carbon intensity of manufacturing processes.

These strategic initiatives underscore Dandot Cement's commitment to operational excellence, cost leadership, and environmental responsibility, ensuring sustainable value creation for its shareholders. Despite the challenges, the company remains focused on its long-term profitability and growth objectives, as reflected in its latest financial performance.
