Karachi: Dewan Cement Limited has announced its 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled for October 24, 2024, at Karachi. The meeting aims to address several key business matters as outlined in their recent notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The AGM's agenda includes confirming the minutes from the previous year's meeting, held on October 26, 2023. Additionally, shareholders will review, consider, and adopt the audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, alongside the Directors' and Auditors' reports. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), another significant item on the agenda is the confirmation of the appointment of the company’s Statutory Auditors for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, including the approval of their remuneration.

The company has also announced that the share transfer books will be closed from October 17, 2024, to October 24, 2024, inclusive. Share transfers received in order at the share registrar office during this period will be processed promptly. This closure aligns with regulatory guidelines requiring share transfer books to be closed during the AGM preparation period. Shareholders unable to attend can appoint proxies, who must register with the company’s share registrar at least 48 hours before the meeting.

Members are also requested to update the company with any changes in their registered addresses to ensure seamless communication regarding the shareholdings and forthcoming corporate activities.
