Karachi: Dewan Sugar Mills Limited (DWSM) has addressed its non-compliance with certain Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) regulations by settling outstanding penalties, as per a recent announcement.
On June 24, 2025, the PSX confirmed the resolution of the non-compliance issue initially highlighted in a notice dated June 12, 2025. This notice had indicated that DWSM was non-compliant with Clause 5.11.1.(d) of the PSX Regulations due to its failure to pay a penalty imposed under Clause 5.21.1. The recent payment of these dues by DWSM has now rectified this specific regulatory breach, as noted in the Daily Quotations of the Exchange.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), despite this rectification, DWSM will continue to be listed in the "Non-Compliant Segment." This status persists due to an adverse opinion issued by the company's statutory auditor in its audit report, as per Clause 5.11.1.(g) of the PSX Regulations. The company must address all remaining compliance issues to change this status.
The designated market category remains unaffected by this resolution, with DWSM still under scrutiny as it works towards full regulatory compliance.
