Karachi: EFU General Insurance Ltd. has officially reported a series of share acquisitions by independent director Yasmin Hyder to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), as part of the company’s latest regulatory disclosures. These transactions occurred on October 3 and 4, 2024, encompassing a total purchase of 5,000 shares, enhancing Hyder's total shareholding to 80,000 shares, representing a 0.08% ownership in the company.
The transactions, executed through the Central Depository Company (CDC), involved 2,900 shares bought at PKR 88.00 per share on October 3 and an additional 2,100 shares purchased at the same rate the following day. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these purchases have been reported in compliance with PSX Regulations under clause 5.6.4 concerning the disclosure of interests by directors and significant shareholders.
EFU General Insurance Ltd., located at EFU House, Karachi, has confirmed that these transactions will be discussed in the upcoming board meeting, highlighting any potential issues of non-compliance as mandated. The company also noted that the holding period for these shares is set for six months, after which the profit equivalent to these transactions will be deposited with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan as per the Securities Act, 2015.
