Engro Powergen Qadirpur Limited Secures Approval for Supplemental Agreement to Include Low BTU Gas

Karachi: Engro Powergen Qadirpur Limited has announced receiving a formal No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Private Power and Infrastructure Board concerning its Supplemental Agreement to the Power Purchase Agreement with Central Power Purchasing Agency (Guarantee) Limited. This development was disclosed in accordance with Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1(a) of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Regulations.

Dated October 31, 2025, the disclosure follows an earlier announcement made on August 20, 2025. The Supplemental Agreement, initially executed on August 19, 2025, facilitates the inclusion of low BTU gas, ranging from 8 to 13 million standard cubic feet per day, from the Badar gas field. This gas supply is provided by Petroleum Exploration Limited (PEL Gas) and will serve as an additional fuel source for the company’s power plant.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this move is a significant step for Engro Powergen Qadirpur Limited. The agreement is expected to enhance the operational capacity of the power plant by diversifying its fuel resources.
