The announcement was made on July 3, 2026, through Notice No. R-548, highlighting the recovery of certificates belonging to two individuals, Shamsa Rizvi from Karachi and Dr. Tahira Bokhari from Lahore.
Shamsa Rizvi, holding the folio number R002808, had previously reported a total of 1,436 shares as lost. The recovered certificates include distinctive numbers ranging from 55963371 to 1946885074, covering various certificate numbers such as 50731, 113090, and 145133, among others. The total number of shares recovered for Rizvi includes 500 shares from certificate number 50731 and smaller quantities from other certificates, with the smallest recovery being 21 shares from certificate number 145134.
Similarly, Dr. Tahira Bokhari, associated with folio number BOKH0002, has had her lost certificates found. These certificates cover a total of 259 shares, with distinctive numbers spanning from 105792940 to 427686252. Notable certificates include 5760191, representing a single share, and 15203653, which accounts for 54 shares.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the recovered certificates are now to be circulated among the members of the Exchange. This action ensures that the certificates can be dealt with in the normal course, reinstating the ownership and trading potential of the recovered shares for both individuals.
