Lahore: Fast Cables Limited (FCL) has released an addendum to the notice of its 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM), originally communicated on October 7, 2024, to its shareholders and published in national newspapers. This development addresses the omission of material facts regarding the digital circulation of financial statements, now included in the AGM agenda scheduled for October 28, 2024, at Lahore.

The addendum specifically pertains to Agenda Item No. 6, which introduces the circulation of annual audited financial statements through a Quick Response (QR) code and web link, as permitted by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under Notification No.S.R.0.389(1)/2023 issued on March 21, 2023. This move aligns with the requirements of the Companies Act, 2017, and aims to leverage technological advancements while contributing to environmental sustainability.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the notice of the meeting, inclusive of the QR code and web link, will be sent to shareholders at their registered addresses. Shareholders will have the option to view and download the financial statements and related documents digitally. Additionally, hard copies of the audited financial statements will be provided free of charge upon request, with the necessary form available on the company's website.

The company clarified that none of its directors have any direct or indirect interest in this special business item beyond their roles as members and directors of FCL.
