Karachi: First Capital Securities Corporation Limited has reported a notable increase in its profit for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, despite a significant shift in revenue sources. The corporation's profit after taxation surged to Rs. 278.42 million for the quarter, compared to Rs. 181.53 million during the same period last year, marking a significant move. This increase came even as the company reported no dividend income for the quarter, a sharp contrast to the Rs. 117.40 million recorded in the previous year.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), First Capital Securities achieved this improvement primarily through a substantial gain on the disposal of investments, amounting to Rs. 66.54 million. Additionally, the company reported an unrealized gain on re-measurement of investments at fair value through profit or loss totaling Rs. 271.90 million, up from Rs. 166.97 million the previous year.

First Capital Securities' total non-current assets as of September 30, 2026, stood at Rs. 9.14 billion, up from Rs. 8.27 billion at the end of June 2026. This increase was driven by a rise in long-term investments, which climbed to Rs. 4.86 billion from Rs. 3.08 billion. However, the company's investment properties decreased to Rs. 4.28 billion from Rs. 5.18 billion.
The company's current liabilities saw a significant increase to Rs. 4.26 billion, up from Rs. 3.70 billion as of June 2026. This rise was influenced by an increase in trade and other payables, which jumped to Rs. 565.08 million from Rs. 66.51 million.
First Capital Securities Corporation Limited's net assets improved to Rs. 4.74 billion from Rs. 4.46 billion, reflecting the company's strengthened financial position.
