Flying Cement Company Limited Announces Unopposed Election of Directors

Lahore: Flying Cement Company Limited has announced the unopposed election of its board of directors, scheduled to be formalized at the Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM) on April 30, 2025. The meeting will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Heaven Banquet Hall in Lahore.

In compliance with Section 159(4) of the Companies Act, 2017, the shareholders of Flying Cement Company Limited have been informed of the individuals who have filed notices to contest the election of directors. The election process adheres to Clause 5.6.9.(b) of the Rule Book of the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The notice was published in The Nation and the Nawa-e-Waqt newspapers on April 22, 2025, to ensure shareholders and relevant stakeholders are duly informed.

The seven candidates, whose applications align with the number of director positions set by the Board under Section 159(1) of the Act, include Mr. Kamran Khan, Mr. Momin Qamar, Mrs. Samina Kamran, Mr. Qasim Khan, Mr. Muhammad Zaman Ahmad Qamar, Mr. Pervaiz Ahmad Khan, and Mr. Omar Naeem. Of these, Mr. Pervaiz Ahmad Khan and Mr. Omar Naeem are contesting as independent directors, while Mrs. Samina Kamran is the sole female director.

Since the number of candidates is equal to the number of available positions, all nominees will be deemed elected unopposed for a term of three years, commencing from the date of the EOGM.
