Karachi: Ghandhara Industries Limited has reported a substantial increase in its annual profit for the financial year ending June 30, 2026, as per its audited financial statements approved by the Board of Directors on September 17, 2026. The company's profit surged to Rs. 6,926.72 million, a notable rise from Rs. 4,583.66 million in the previous year. This announcement was made following the board meeting held via video conferencing.
The significant profit growth is attributed to a rise in net sales, which reached Rs. 60,658.13 million, up from Rs. 37,462.87 million in 2025. The gross profit for the year stood at Rs. 14,037.51 million compared to Rs. 9,090.83 million in the previous year. Despite facing elevated distribution and administrative costs, Ghandhara Industries Limited managed to achieve an operational profit of Rs. 11,494.17 million, up from Rs. 6,543.57 million in 2025.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this performance is further underscored by the company's decision to declare a final cash dividend of Rs. 12 per share, equating to a 120% payout. The company's financial position also improved significantly, with total equity rising to Rs. 22.36 billion from Rs. 13.55 billion last year, indicating a very large move.
The company's total comprehensive income for the year, which includes other income and revaluation surpluses, was reported at Rs. 9,229.52 million, contrasting with Rs. 4,567.65 million in 2025. Basic and diluted earnings per share rose to Rs. 162.57 from Rs. 107.58, marking a big move.
The Annual General Meeting is scheduled for October 13, 2026, at the company's headquarters in Karachi, where shareholders will be able to discuss these results. The recommended entitlement will be distributed to shareholders registered by October 05, 2026, with the share transfer books closing from October 06 to October 13, 2026.
