Ghani Chemical Industries Limited Announces E-Voting and Postal Ballot Procedures for Upcoming EOGM

Lahore: Ghani Chemical Industries Limited (GCIL) has released the procedures for e-voting and postal ballot ahead of its scheduled Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EOGM) on October 10, 2026. The procedures were disseminated through newspaper publications in Daily Ausaf and Daily Business Recorder on October 1, 2026, across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

The upcoming EOGM, which is set to take place at the company’s registered office in Lahore, will allow shareholders to vote on various special business agenda items. According to the Companies (Postal Ballot) Regulations, 2018, GCIL has provided its members with the option to exercise their voting rights via electronic voting and postal ballot. This initiative ensures that shareholders have the flexibility to participate in decision-making processes from remote locations.

The e-voting facility will be available for members who have registered their valid CNIC numbers, cell numbers, and e-mail addresses with the company by the close of business on October 2, 2026. Voting will commence on October 7, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude on October 9, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Members are encouraged to cast their votes during this period, as any votes cast are final and cannot be altered.

For those opting for the postal ballot method, completed ballot papers must be accompanied by a copy of the member’s Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and should reach the Chairman of the meeting by post or email at [email protected] by October 9, 2026, before 5:00 p.m. The signature on the ballot paper must match that on the CNIC to be considered valid.

Among the agenda items to be discussed at the EOGM are alterations to the company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, issuance of Class B Tracking Shares, investment in G3 Oil & Gas Conversion LLP, and the proposed transfer of project assets to the Project Silo. These resolutions are crucial to GCIL’s strategic plans and require shareholder approval.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), GCIL has outlined these procedures with precision to ensure transparency and efficiency in the voting process. The resolutions, detailed in the statement of material facts accompanying the meeting notice, underscore the company’s commitment to maintaining robust corporate governance practices.

The forthcoming meeting and the resolutions on the table represent significant steps for GCIL as it seeks to expand and optimize its operations. Shareholders are urged to participate actively, utilizing the voting facilities provided to influence the company’s future direction.
