GoP Ijarah Sukuk Reaches Maturity, Set for Delisting from Pakistan Stock Exchange

Karachi: The Government of Pakistan Ijarah Sukuk (GIS) with the maturity date of July 25, 2025, has reached its scheduled maturity and completed its final payment to all eligible investors. This development marks a key procedural milestone for the listed security under the designation of P01GIS250725, which will be delisted from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) effective July 28, 2025.

The notification of the security's maturity and subsequent delisting follows a prior announcement by the PSX, notice number PSX/N-735, issued on July 14, 2025, which outlined the suspension of trading in the GIS in anticipation of its maturity payment. The National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) has confirmed that all final payments were disbursed to investors on the maturity date, thereby fulfilling the contractual obligations tied to the security.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the delisting of this Ijarah Sukuk aligns with the joint procedures established by the PSX, the Central Depository Company (CDC), and the NCCPL for handling matured securities in the secondary market. This process ensures that securities which have reached maturity are systematically removed from active trading platforms, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the market listings.

The delisting underscores the structured process for securities management within the financial markets of Pakistan, ensuring that all stakeholders, including investors and regulatory bodies, are informed and coordinated in the transition of matured instruments.
