Karachi: The Government of Pakistan's Hybrid Sukuk (GHS) will commence trading on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) starting Friday, August 21, 2026. This follows its issuance through a primary market auction conducted by PSX on August 19, 2026, and its subsequent settlement on August 20, 2026.
The GHS will be available for trading on the Jade Trading Terminal (JTT), a BnB Enabled Terminal, according to trading modalities released ahead of its listing. The instruments include a 3-Month Fixed Rate Discounted Sukuk maturing on November 12, 2026, a 6-Month Sukuk maturing on February 18, 2027, and a 1-Year Sukuk with a maturity date of August 19, 2027. The respective symbol codes for these instruments are P03GHS121126, P06GHS180227, and P01GHS190827.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the face value for each Sukuk is Rs. 5,000, and trading must occur in multiples of this amount. The minimum buy/sell order quantity is set at 5,000, while the maximum buy/sell order quantity reaches up to 5.00 billion. Additionally, the maximum buy/sell order value is capped at PKR 6.00 billion.
The price tick is set at 0.0001, with circuit breakers ranging from 0.0001 to 400.0000. The settlement cycle for these instruments will operate on a continuous auction with a T+1 timeline, handled by the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL). Custody of the GHS will be maintained by the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited (CDC).
