Lahore: Grays Leasing Limited, a non-deposit taking non-banking financial institution (NBFI), reported a noticeable increase in its business transactions for the period ending March 31, 2025. The company conducted business worth Rupees 68.92 million, surpassing its performance of Rupees 59.21 million during the previous year’s corresponding period.
The company’s profit before and after tax stood at Rupees 5.63 million and Rupees 5.43 million respectively. This marks a decrease from the previous year’s figures of Rupees 9.44 million and Rupees 5.87 million. The net investment of the company reached Rupees 425.28 million as of March 31, 2025, showing a slight increase from Rupees 419.33 million recorded on June 30, 2024.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Grays Leasing Limited disbursed 16 leases totaling Rupees 68.92 million during the period. This was facilitated by a credit line from its holding company, which provided necessary financial support amidst a significant decrease in the Karachi Interbank Offered Rate (KIBOR) and a slowdown in the increase of vehicle values. These market conditions have bolstered the demand for financing in the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector.
The company reported a net reversal in the provision for potential lease losses amounting to Rupees 0.011 million and wrote off Rupees 0.709 million against allowances for potential lease losses. Consequently, the equity of Grays Leasing Limited stands at Rupees 76.58 million.
