Karachi: In a strategic reshuffle of the UBL Pakistan Enterprise Index (UPP9), the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited has announced adjustments reflecting significant changes in the listed companies. As of October 31, 2025, Habib Bank Limited has been added to the index, replacing MCB Bank Limited. These changes are set to take effect on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
The UPP9 Index, which is a reflection of major enterprises in the financial market, now includes nine key constituent companies with their respective weights. Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited and United Bank Limited hold the highest weights at 16.00% each, followed by Engro Holdings Limited at 11.40% and Meezan Bank Limited at 11.10%.
Lucky Cement Limited and The Hub Power Company Limited have weights of 10.97% and 10.71% respectively, while the newly added Habib Bank Limited holds a weight of 9.68%. Systems Limited and Engro Fertilizers Limited complete the list with weights of 7.38% and 6.77% respectively.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these adjustments are part of a routine re-composition exercise to align the index accurately with the current market dynamics. The changes are made in accordance with the relevant rules available on the PSX website, ensuring transparency and adherence to established procedures.
