Hascol Petroleum Ltd Reports Substantial Losses in Both Half Year and Nine Months Financials

Karachi: Hascol Petroleum Ltd has reported significant losses in its latest financial statements. For the half-year ending on June 30, 2023, the company recorded a pre-tax loss of PKR 9,968.016 million and a post-tax loss of PKR 10,328.366 million in its unconsolidated financials. The consolidated financials for the same period show a slightly higher pre-tax loss of PKR 10,012.098 million and a post-tax loss of PKR 10,372.448 million. The earnings per share (EPS) for both unconsolidated and consolidated half-year statements stood at PKR -10.34 and PKR -10.38, respectively.

In the nine-month period ending September 30, 2023, Hascol Petroleum Ltd's unconsolidated financials reveal a pre-tax loss of PKR 12,531.381 million and a post-tax loss of PKR 13,045.157 million. Similarly, the consolidated financials for this period show a pre-tax loss of PKR 12,587.522 million and a post-tax loss of PKR 13,100.998 million. The EPS for both unconsolidated and consolidated nine-month statements are PKR -13.06 and PKR -13.11, respectively. No entitlements, meetings, or book closures were reported for these periods.
