Karachi: Hascol Petroleum Limited has applied to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) for an extension to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024. The company is seeking to move the meeting date to May 31, 2025, which represents a 30-day extension from the original schedule.
The request for an extension was officially filed with the SECP, according to a statement released by Hascol Petroleum. The application is part of the procedural requirements for adjusting the timeline of the AGM, a crucial event where shareholders typically review company performance and make key decisions.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Hascol Petroleum has committed to submitting a copy of the SECP’s approval for the requested extension within 48 hours of its receipt. This ensures that all stakeholders, including TREC holders, are kept informed of any developments regarding the AGM’s scheduling.
The move to delay the AGM is not uncommon for companies seeking additional time to finalize financial documents and prepare for comprehensive discussions with shareholders. The designated market category for Hascol Petroleum will remain unchanged as the company awaits feedback from the SECP.
