Lahore: Highnoon Laboratories Limited, one of Pakistan's prominent healthcare companies, reported a 5.5% increase in net sales for the first half of 2026, according to its Directors' report presented on August 28, 2026. The company's growth was attributed to an optimal product mix, volume expansion, and pricing gains, complemented by portfolio diversification and a strengthened market position.
The financial performance for the period ending June 30, 2026, demonstrated a notable improvement. Gross margins increased from 55% to 56%, reflecting a 7.8% rise over the same period in 2025. Despite facing industry challenges, Highnoon capitalized on operational efficiencies and regulatory pricing adjustments to achieve a 3.1% increase in profit after tax year-on-year.
Sales for the half year reached 12.71 billion rupees, up from 12.04 billion rupees in 2025. Gross profit rose to 7.08 billion rupees, with operating profits standing at 2.71 billion rupees, maintaining an operating profit margin of 21%. Finance costs decreased to 39 million rupees, while other income registered at 206 million rupees. The profit before tax and levy increased to 2.88 billion rupees, with a tax and levy expense of 1.20 billion rupees, resulting in a profit after tax and levy of 1.68 billion rupees.
Earnings per share (EPS) for the period were reported at 31.66 rupees, up from 30.71 rupees in 2025. Highnoon Laboratories continues to employ a rigorous KPI-driven performance framework, benchmarking against industry peers and evolving regulations to sustain its growth trajectory.
The Group, which includes Highnoon Laboratories Limited and its wholly owned subsidiary Curexa Health (Private) Limited, also showed robust performance. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the Group's profit before tax and levy grew to 3.03 billion rupees from 2.80 billion rupees in the previous year. After accounting for tax and levy of 1.24 billion rupees, the profit after tax for the Group amounted to 1.78 billion rupees, with an EPS of 33.66 rupees.
