Hub Power Company Issues Addendum for Upcoming 33rd AGM

Karachi: The Hub Power Company Limited has announced an addendum to the Notice of its 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to discuss amendments in voting procedures among other agenda items. The update was published in two prominent daily newspapers on September 14, 2024, as part of the company's compliance with regulatory guidelines.

The company originally notified its Certificate Holders and the public on September 7, 2024, through advertisements in "Business Recorder" and "Nawa-i-Waqt," detailing the upcoming AGM's agenda and procedural information. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the recent addendum specifies that members will now be able to vote through postal ballots or electronic means, adapting to the Companies (Postal Ballot) Regulation, 2018, combined with Sections 143 and 144 of the Act.

This modification is aimed at enhancing member participation by accommodating those who may not be able to attend in person, ensuring that a broader base of stakeholders can exercise their rights in the corporate decision-making process. The management has circulated copies of the revised notice among the Certificate Holders and has made it accessible for shareholder review to ensure transparency and compliance.
