Hub Power Company Ltd Announces 50% Final Dividend Amid Profit Surge

Karachi: The Hub Power Company Ltd has reported its financial results for the year ended June 30, 2026, highlighting a notable increase in profit. In a meeting held on August 27, 2026, the Board of Directors approved the annual audited financial statements and recommended a final cash dividend of Rs. 5 per share, equivalent to 50%, for the financial year ending June 30, 2026.

The company's revenue from contracts with customers reached Rs. 13.21 billion, compared to Rs. 9.06 billion in the previous year. The gross profit stood at Rs. 9.06 billion. The financial report also noted a significant increase in dividend income, which amounted to Rs. 29.31 billion, up from Rs. 14.91 billion the previous year.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Hub Power Company Ltd recorded a profit from operations of Rs. 29.02 billion, marking a substantial improvement from Rs. 23.15 billion in the previous year. The profit before taxation was reported at Rs. 27.81 billion, compared to Rs. 19.91 billion in the prior year. The profit for the year was Rs. 24.47 billion, up from Rs. 19.08 billion, reflecting a very large or significant move of 28.21%.

The company’s basic and diluted earnings per share rose to Rs. 18.86, from Rs. 14.71, indicating a substantial increase in shareholder value. Total comprehensive income for the year amounted to Rs. 23.40 billion, compared to Rs. 19.95 billion in the previous year.

The Hub Power Company Ltd’s Annual General Meeting is scheduled for October 20, 2026, in Karachi. Shareholders on the register by October 12, 2026, will be eligible for the dividend. The company’s share transfer books will be closed from October 13 to October 20, 2026.

As of the report, the company's total assets were valued at Rs. 90.65 billion, a slight decrease from Rs. 91.53 billion the previous year. Notably, the company’s equity and liabilities totaled Rs. 90.65 billion, aligning with its asset value. The report also highlighted that the company’s cash and bank balances decreased to Rs. 604.91 million from Rs. 876.27 million.
