In compliance with Section 159(4) of the Companies Act, 2017, seven individuals have submitted their candidacies for election as directors. The candidates are Mr. Mufti Zia ul Islam, Mr. Munis Abdullah, Mr. Omer Iqbal Awan, Mr. Sheraz Khan, Mr. Zubair Razzak Palwala, Ms. Fareen Naz Qureshi, and Dr. Atta ur Rahman. Notably, Ms. Qureshi and Dr. Rahman are standing as independent directors.
The upcoming EGM will see these seven individuals being automatically elected to the Board, as the number of candidates aligns precisely with the seven director positions established by the Board under Section 159(1) of the Companies Act, 2017. Therefore, no voting process will be necessary for these positions.
