Idrees Textile Mills Limited Schedules Extraordinary General Meeting to Discuss Strategic Profitability Enhancements

Karachi: Idrees Textile Mills Limited has announced the convening of an Extra-ordinary General Meeting (EGM) to be held on June 27, 2026, at noon in the Liberty Ballroom C-551, P.E.C.H.S, Block-2, near Liberty Signal, Tariq Road, Karachi. The meeting aims to address key business matters that could significantly impact the company’s future profitability and operational strategy.

The agenda of the meeting includes the confirmation of minutes from the 36th Annual General Meeting conducted on November 27, 2025. The company is also set to deliberate on strategic decisions designed to enhance profitability, strengthen cash flows, and improve its financial standing, thereby promoting sustainable growth and increased returns for stakeholders.

The proposed strategic initiatives involve pursuing alternate options to boost profitability, including the replacement of certain machinery to focus on value-added products. Additionally, the company intends to optimize the use of surplus space by exploring opportunities in warehousing, logistics, and supply chain management services.

These resolutions are subject to shareholder approval under sections 134 and 183 (3) of the Companies Act, 2017, along with compliance with other corporate and regulatory requirements. The resolutions, if passed, would authorize Mr. S.M. Mansoor Allawala, the Chief Executive Officer, to negotiate deals, appoint necessary advisors, and execute documents for regulatory approvals.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these strategic measures are anticipated to significantly enhance the company’s profitability and financial health.

The meeting will also address any other business matters with the Chair’s permission, and the statement of material facts related to the special business has been circulated to shareholders alongside the notice of the EGM.
