Karachi: IGI Holdings Limited has released its unconsolidated condensed interim financial statements for the half-year ending June 30, 2025, reporting a significant increase in both operating revenue and profit after tax. The financial report, presented by the company’s directors on August 29, 2025, highlights the company’s performance improvements compared to the same period last year.
Operating revenue rose to Rs 731 million, compared to Rs 550 million in the first half of 2024. The profit after taxation also saw a significant move, increasing to Rs 495 million from Rs 400 million in the corresponding period of the previous year. These results reflect an upward trend in the company’s financial health and performance.
Earnings per share improved to Rs 3.47, up from Rs 2.80 in 2024, prompting the company to declare an interim dividend of 25% (Rs 2.5 per share), an increase from the 20% (Rs 2 per share) declared in the previous year. The report suggests that IGI Holdings’ performance is linked to the financial outcomes of its subsidiaries, which are influenced by broader economic conditions.
Total assets increased to Rs 18.75 billion from Rs 16.13 billion as of December 31, 2024. Noteworthy changes in the asset portfolio include a rise in investments, reaching Rs 18.35 billion, up from Rs 15.71 billion, indicating a strategic emphasis on expanding the company’s investment activities.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), IGI Holdings operates within the designated market category of holding companies. This classification underscores the company’s role in managing its portfolio of subsidiaries and investments.
Equity stood at Rs 15.74 billion, showing a slight decrease from Rs 15.81 billion at the end of the previous year, while the company’s liabilities surged to Rs 3.01 billion, primarily due to the introduction of a short-term loan amounting to Rs 2.68 billion.
The report also notes a decrease in unappropriated profits to Rs 6.55 billion from Rs 6.62 billion and a decline in bank balances from Rs 52.53 million to Rs 43.41 million. Despite these changes, the overall financial position of IGI Holdings remains robust with a strong asset base and improved profitability.
